How We Are Working Now: Your Questions Answered

Hello,

First of all, I want to say well done for keeping positive over the past few weeks and maintaining your hair at home despite salon closure. My thoughts are with you and your family during this time, as we continue to stay safe.

I am looking forward to seeing you back with us and back on track with your hair journey and feeling fabulous. This will not be without its challenges, as we adopt new ways to operate within the salon under COVID-19 social distancing rules.

We've answered a few of the questions that clients have been asking...

How do I book an appointment now?

As normal but we will have a consultation and quick chat about your hair before the booking is confirmed. Please note that it may be difficult to get an appointment at first due to high demand. Some hair services will not be performed during the first few weeks of re-opening to help with time.

Are deposits required?

All appointments made will require a deposit to secure your appointment. This is non-refundable for cancellations less than 48 hours notice.

What do I do, if I'm feeling unwell?

Please do not come in if you or someone in your household is unwell.

Can I bring someone with me?

Only clients with a hair appointment are allowed to attend salon for social distancing reasons.

Do I need to wear a face mask?

The latest government advice about face-coverings/face masks published on 11 May 2020 was as follows: People should aim to wear a face-covering at all times in enclosed spaces where social distancing is not always possible and they come into contact with others that they do not normally meet. Homemade cloth face-coverings can help reduce the risk of transmission in some circumstances. You can make your own face coverings.

Please note your face covering must be durable just in case the attachments behind your ears get wet at the sink.

What should I wear to my appointment?

There is some evidence that the virus can stay on fabrics for a few days. If the weather is good, we encourage clients not to bring coats or jackets into the salon as it will be difficult to store these hygienically and passing coats between clients and staff increases contact.

If you must bring outerwear bring a carrier bag that your outer garment can be stored in.

Will I need to use hand sanitiser?

Yes. This is for your own protection and peace of mind and hygiene.

What happens if I'm running late?

Give your self enough time to get to the salon and park as we are now running a tight schedule that allows us to use the time wisely to care for your needs with extra time to sanitise down salon sections so the next client can arrive in clean sanitised surroundings.

If you arrive early, feel free to stay in your car or outside the salon keeping two-metre distance from others until it's your turn. If you are late, there is a high chance you will have to reschedule for another time.

How will things be inside the salon?

Sanitising your hands - located in the salon by the entrance wall is hand sanitiser and disposable hand towels. All clients are required to use this facility when you have entered the studio.

Refreshments- disposable cups, milk, coffee and tea sachets will be used instead during your appointment.

Gowns and Towels

Disposable transparent gowns will be used and discarded after each use. single-use towel and disposable towels will be used while at the salon.

One way system

We will ensure that staff and clients comply with health & safety measures during your appointment as well as being directed where to go and where to walk to maintain safe distancing.

Magazines, books, leaflets and newspapers are currently not available.

No touching of hair products that are being used by the hairdresser. No touching of retail products until hairdresser assists you. Please do not pick up products that you have no intention of considering for purchase.

How do I pay?

Contactless and card payments only. Your next hair appointment will be booked whilst you are in the salon chair.

These are all the major changes happening in our salon in the upcoming weeks, but if you have any queries, please contact us.

We look forward to having you back with us.
